Knowledge

 By the end of 6^th Grade, pupils will know:

1.  Expansion of oral and written vocabulary: Student can identify, understand, read, write and pronounce words and phrases from Band I that have been learned gradually over four years - from the beginning of third grade.
2. Reading fluently: Student can read texts, books, tables and charts of different genres.
3. Basic grammar: Repetition of what is learned in the fifth grade. In addition, understand and use basic grammatical structures according to the curriculum: for example: present simple, present progressive, future, past simple.
4. Interaction in various social contexts, based on words and syntax learned with an emphasis on conveying messages.
5. Spoken and written reception from different sources for various purposes.
6. Spoken and written production in an organized and planned manner on a familiar topic.
7. Recognition of Classical Literature: Student can recognise and appreciate classical literature written in English, student can identify conversation patterns and other characteristics of different cultures and types of literature. Awareness of the basic differences between English and the student's first language.
